Danerolles ‘Fresh Cookie Dough.’
Art Direction, Copy-and Packaging Design
First off; This was an awesome opportunity to do something totally different. It’s not often you get the chance to design the look and feel of a new product in three fold. “It can be totally different than the existing products Danerolles is known for as long as it is fresh, alluring and colourful.” Say no more…
The keywords that came to mind were smooth, rich, buttery and yes creamy. It had to carry a bit of the sentiment of the candy stores of old.
This assignment required a bit of Art Direction, Copy Writing and of course a healthy dose of Illustration and Design.
You can find the cookie dough in the chilled section across the Benelux and Scandinavia.
Packshots
Of course any Designer worth his salt has some Photoshopping experience. So, when packaging designs change there is also a need for a new packshot for the online stores. That is where I came in.
Branding, Advertorials and Packaging Design
A beautiful mission and a beautiful product, it was love at first sight. Several elements of the POS were refreshed as well as the Packaging of several products.
POS/OOH materials
Who hasn’t heard of Keune Haircosmetics? The assignment was specifically to create a range of (POS) materials like print ads, wobblers, e-mail headers and vouchers. Here’s a glimpse of what was made.
Product/Packaging Design and (key)Visualisation
Efteling wanted to celebrate the launch of their new attraction with a set of collectibles for their younger visitors.
The coins were designed with a diversity of effects like holographics, glow-in-the-dark and metallic items on them which all attribute to the lore of the attraction itself: Symbolica.
They could be collected in a binder and to top this off a traditional Dutch game called Sjoelen was rebranden for the coins.
For this game you need a base, so we took the Castle of the Efteling and transformed it into the Symbolica Sjoelpaleis.
There was also an app so you could Sjoel anywhere you want!
UI/icon design
“Design a few hundred (yes, few hundred) icons for the new Horizon Forbidden West game by Guerrilla!.” No problem! It was an awesome gig with lovely people and the opportunity to dig a bit in the style and storytelling.
Product/Packaging Design
Australian start-up Jimmy’s wants to make eating candy fun again like it was in the 90’s but in a modern jacket. Who doesn’t remember taking their dimes to the shop to get some twizzlers, sour patch kids or Lifesavers. Fresh colors alongside a design that nods to the 70’s style of packaging design.

3 Big campaigns for Brooks Running.
Two of them were built around the launch of two new shoe models: Glycerin 17 and Ghost 12. The third was Brooks Best Fest: STRAVA challenges with amazing prizes.
Social assets, digital bannering, websites and icons for all campaigns were created, all for several countries in different languages.
The Glycerin 17 does turn streets into pillows indeed!
Branding and Illustration
I was asked to redesign Pink Lady’s PinKids® in such a way that would make it more appealing towards the kids. I designed a vibrant world around the apples which offered endless possibilities ranging from eco-friendly packaging designs, merchandise, animations and a whole new set of characters.
Product/Packaging Design, Branding, Advertorials and Social
I teamed up with Magioni to build their Social–and Retail presence in 2023. In 2024 Packaging Design was added to the mix for the pancakes! I’m honored for the opportunity to develop the packaging alongside the team of Magioni and can’t wait for the things to come.
Product/Packaging Design and Illustration
I was commissioned to conceptually redesign the packaging of the Dutch brand Echte Boter and, with that in mind, also design a new product line: Echte Smeerkaas!
Such a fun process and proud of what we’ve created!
POS, (key)Visualisation, Branding and Illustration
During a period of almost 4 years there were a lot of campaigns created for Albert Heijn of which “AH Winkeltje” still is top of mind.
It was even worth an honorable mention in the ADCN book.
UI/Illustration
I was asked to develop UI elements for a mobile game by Tilt Amsterdam. The mobile game was for Philips and it’s designed to make the whole hassle of testing, scanning etc less stressful for really sick kids. To ‘gamify’ the whole trajectory.
So I developed avatars, elements, illustrated backgrounds and even some animation storyboards.
Branding, POS, Illustration
I took on many projects in the months I worked for KPN.
Ranging from Instore materials, packaging design, icons, templates etc. to the development of a diverse range of illustrations and along with the team we set up a range of guidelines for POS.
Branding and Illustration
I designed the logo for the Dutch McDonalds’s Wortelfrietjes.
I also made seasonal illustrations for their placemats which was filled with fun facts about McDonalds’s new interior overhaul.
Illustration
I was commissioned by Tilt Amsterdam to design some assets for an animation for booking.com.
The first asset was a pinball machine that would chronologically launched you into your trip. The second was a swipe-treadmill to portray the abundance of all the options you have when picking a vacation.
I also designed some roadsigns that pointed towards a destination.
Unfortunately Covid-19 hit when we were working on it and the project was discontinued.
Illustration
I was commissioned to illustrate 20 situations/tips you’ll encounter when working from home. I had a lot of freedom with this assignment and I had a blast.
On another project I was asked to design a mascotte for TSP Culture of which you can see the final result below.
Product/Packaging Design, Conceptual Design
Have you ever thought about incorporating insects in your daily nutrition? Say no more, Ynsect can help you get sorted. These products are just a grasp of a big range of concept visuals created to test with panels.

Harry Hates His Homework is a personal project.
It’s about a boy who really hates his homework and doing his chores.
To get out of all these things he has Axe-cuses & Procastinators, weapons he fabricated to battle the monsters who embody his dislikings. When the book is flipped the story of a like-minded girl will unfold and when her story is nearing the end, they will meet each other in the middel of the book.
It will be a book written in rhyme.
